Rugby Development Officer

RUGBY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Mark Wood is Kendal RUFC's Rugby Development Officer.

The role of the Development Officer will be to provide continuity and promote rugby within the local community, including special needs and secondary schools.

Mark will work closely with the Director of Rugby Chris Hayton and Chairman of Youth Rugby, Nigel Pearson to provide the link between the youth of the local community and the club.

Kendal runs currently 3 open age teams for all levels of ability, and also has a thriving junior section.

BRADFORD & BINGLEY 14 – KENDAL 23

Kendal made the trip to Wagon Lane looking to build on their impressive display against Westoe the previous Saturday. However, playing away from home against a side fighting for its league survival is a totally different kettle of fish, and so it proved to be.

RUGBY LIONS 25 – KENDAL 11 

Kendal made the long journey down the M6, to play Rugby Lions, and after the lengthy enforced layoff due to the wintry weather were caught cold by Rugby Lions in the opening quarter of the game.
