Rugby Development Officer

RUGBY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Mark Wood is Kendal RUFC's Rugby Development Officer.

The role of the Development Officer will be to provide continuity and promote rugby within the local community, including special needs and secondary schools.

Mark will work closely with the Director of Rugby Chris Hayton and Chairman of Youth Rugby, Nigel Pearson to provide the link between the youth of the local community and the club.

Kendal runs currently 3 open age teams for all levels of ability, and also has a thriving junior section.

Ian Voortman injures his hand again

HUDDERSFIELD 45 – KENDAL 23

Kendal started their eleventh game against Huddersfield brightly and they gained good field position for Mike Scott to drop a third minute goal and kick a penalty in the tenth minute to give them an early 6 – 0 lead as they looked to keep hold of their 100% winning record over Huddersfield.

KENDAL 37 – WATERLOO 8

Kendal entertained bottom side Waterloo at Mint Bridge on Saturday and a large Easter crowd through the sleet & hail saw an entertaining game in which eight tries were scored.
